The 4 Cooling Mechanisms CELZEUS Uses

Conduction

Something cooler than the body placed against the skin. Our PCM (phase-change-material) cold packs absorb heat and stay cooler longer than ice, providing effective cooling.

Radiation

Allowing the escape of heat from the body via our strategically placed ventilation mesh & air import design.

Evaporation

The drying of moisture, sweat, and humidity on the skin produces a cooling effect.

Convection

Heat removed from the body by moving air or liquid across the skin, carrying warmth away and supporting effective cooling.

Why This Matters

CELZEUS accomplishes athlete cooling via all four mechanisms above. Other pre-cooling vests use only conduction, neglecting the facilitation of radiation, evaporation, and convection.

We customize conduction by chemically altering the PCM melting/freezing-point temperature to match the conditions:

  • EXTERNAL Cooling: PCM Cooling-vest with ventilation.
  • INTERNAL Cooling: Ingesting cold-slurry liquid to hydrate in cool internal organs.
